HI, I updated to 4.0.120 because of the connection check problems. It seems to be resolved, however, now we have a different issue, when scanning in Pcket 1 mode, the user is not scanned anymore, only the cam status. In packet 2 mode, both are scanned. Didnt have time yet to check for false positives or negatives, but found this problem already worth a lot to mention. EDITTED: I seem to like this bug, and see it as a feature now, when I only want to know if someone uses WEBCAM (and I have a list of course) then this method is now much faster because it skips the user check. BUt I understand that whould be a feature for future perhaps and not a bug in the packet 1 scanning procedure. Still, I like it :)

I can confirm this find. This has appeared somewhere between build 100 and 120. Never saw anything like it during the earlier builds. |

I may need to see a screenshot of this...is it not putting anything in the Online category or what? I just ran it and all is scanning and recording fine for me...it was showing it was sending and receiving data in the VB debugging pane. |

I moved some code around to directly reflect Packet1 to display the caption as online as Packet2 does. If this does not work, I honestly have no idea what will and why it started doing this. If it continues after build 4.0.125, please upload screenshots. |

Ok, rhe problem wit NOT scanning user in packet 1 is still there in build 4.0.125. It scans the webcam, and whole process became 100% faster because it "skips" the userscan, which is nice if you only want to scan for presence of someone's webcam ![]() I made a screenshot for you, but dont know if it will help you, the result I circled will STAY there all the time and it simply continues the list scanning only webcam. As you see it will print the user as OFFLINE allthough it didnt perform scan. Hope I made myself clear, English isnt my native language. ![]() |

Packet1 is scanning...I can see the data movement from within Visual Basic. However, some others have reported that Packet1 is not reporting correct status. I can not duplicate that, it reports back to me 100% accurate. There could be the possibility of that packet getting patched though. It is working fine for me. Try using Packet2 and see what it does.

John, like I said before, this only occurs on packet 1, packet 2 scans normal like always. With packet 1 it just skips the user scan right away from the first user, it scans the list on webcam for all users. And like I also said, I like this feature, and would like to keep it Allthough I understand it shouldnt occur..........perhaps when is fixed, it could become a feature in later releases, for just scan the web presence. Anyway, I know the problem MUST be in the build since 4.0.x, because i have an older version still here and this works like it should. EDIT: If I uncheck the webcam status then it will simply go through the list in rapid steps and NOT scan the user's presence. Edited by EagleForce on December 13 2009 12:00:30 |

Is there any way we can produce a tracelog of what Yinformer is doing on our systems that we can share with you to help with the troubleshooting? |

That would be a good feature and aid I think. If we can add a parameter to the exe file and produce a trace log. |
