Yes, it works on Win7...that is what I have been running for months now as well. Please refer to the following link about missing files, that should get you up and running! http://www.programmingsource.net/www/forum/viewthread.php?thread_id=2 |

I got it working on my own. It reverted back to Win. XP stuff to work. Not exactly sure what it did, but it said something like that, and now works. |

Hi, I am using Window 7 Home Premium 64 bit. I downloaded yinformer and after installation I found it is not working. I downloaded needed files and register few of them. After resolving 2-3 errors i am stuck at MSFLXGRD.OCX file. It says Component 'MSFLXGRD.OCX' or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid. I downloaded the file (it was not in needed files) and copied it in System32 directory. I tried to register it with 'regsvr32 <filename> but got error that it may not be compatible. Then I tried to unregister it and got the same error. I have no idea what is going on! I really miss yinformer. |

Check the installation path of YInformer (c:\program files\yinformer) and see if the msflxgrd.ocx file is in there. It already should be. If it is, copy and paste that in your c:\windows\system32 folder and then try to register it again. If it is not in there, uninstall YInformer and reinstall it. |

Thanks for the quick response. I found the msflxgrd.ocs in Program Files (x86)\yinformer directory. I copied it in c:\windows\system32 and tried to register but I got the same error! |

Honestly, I am not sure if YInformer works on 64 bit operating systems. I have Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit and that is what YInformer is developed on and supported up to. My wifes laptop may be 64 bit though, I will have to look and try installing YInformer on it (if it is 64 bit) and see what I can come up with. |

It works on Windows 7 x64, that is what I am running. The failure to register the mentioned library file is probably due to him not being administrator and the User Access Control is blocking it. Or he uses an antivirus that for some reason see the file as a threat. |

I am administrator and I am running Command Prompt as an administrator. I dont think Avast is seeing the file as a threat or else it would have been removed. Did you get the same error msflxgrd.ocx file error ? |

Glad to hear its working! Let us know if there are more issues using 64 bit. Again, it is not officially supported...but we can at least try and see if it can be figured out. |
